Coolah
These photographs were taken in the remote town of Coolah in New South Wales, Australia. One side of my husband’s family was born and bred in this tiny little country town. As we drove there for my first visit, I was so inspired that I couldn’t wait to get my camera out. At this point in time, the countryside was so drought affected. The dams were almost empty, and the once luscious ground was dry and withered, with parts of it turned to dust, leaving the livestock looking undernourished.
